That's been the "beginning of the fix" for decades, but our criminally greedy and corrupt Gummint never take any steps in that direction.

"Easy to say"... IMPOSSIBLE to do, because the Powers like things just the way they are.

  3. Our problems are a lot worse than just spending. Take prices for instance.

Once in America the words "price gouging" were used. And pols would come after it and break it. Nixon made sure his agriculture man ended forever food prices being used as a political weapon in the US. He'd sht if he looked at a wheat chart from this site:

    http://www.mrci.com/pdf/charts.php

Were Presidents always successful breaking markets or interest groups? Of course not. There were some disaasters. But at least they could say Price Gouging. At least they could try. Think any pol would dare use those words today or dare question the Free Markets bs?

Sadly you can't travel back in time.

The Global Oil Peak has likely occurred, which means that oil will continue to rise forever until is all gone in a few hundred years. The next President may have to contend with a price of $200 a barrel. The pressure from all those idiots driving SUVs to invade ANYPLACE with oil will be immense. But after the fiasco in Iraq, we will probably need World Banks loan to even invade Canada, and even then we would need to hire
BlackWater mercs to do it since Bush has more or less killed the Army and Marines by grinding them down to dust in Iraq

Food production will drop as the cost of oil based fertilizers and pesticides continues to increase. The cost of transporting the food on your dinner table from thousands of miles away will skyrocket as oil does.

Companies like Wal-Mart will tank as the cost of making and importing cheap plastic junk from China is no longer very cheap at all and most of their customers can no longer afford the gas to dive to the store.

  6. We need a fresh name and face to mend relations with the world again. We have to stop this attitude of The USA against the world . It will cost too much with lives and money .

They keep saying obama isnt man enough to start a war , Any looser can start a war it takes a man to end it and use negotiation . What are we living in the middle ages the one with the most soldiers and killing power is the king. I dont see germany and japan acting like that and they are kicking our ass as economy and standard of living .

Americans were usually viewed as self absorbed and a little arrogant at worst.

Unfortunately things are very different now (post Bush) he has done such damage Internationally and screwed up so bad with 9/11.

After 9/11 Bush had an opportunity to united the entire free world and build great alias.

Sadly, the rest of the world didn't understand Cowboy governments and decided to say No thanks, you pay for it with your $$$ and your blood.

IT COULD HAVE BEEN VERY DIFFERENT if he handled your alias with diplomacy and humility.

Hillary can mend those bridges imho.

  9. Like I said, the only way for the Canadians, Aussies, and Europeans to "like" us is to do what Clinton did after the 1993 WTC bombing (with 1000 casualties)....NOTHING. Our "friends" love it when we do nothing to protect ourselves from potentially having the same thing or worse happen again.

As I recall, Bush did work with our allies - which is why there have been some international forces with us in Iraq. As I have also noted - Harper of Canada, Sarkozy of France and Merkel of Germany - all ran on platforms of CLOSER U.S. ties and portrayed themselves as friends of Bush... and they WON! I ask again, how in the hell did that happen? Aren't you Canucks and Europeans supposed to be more intelligent than us stupid Americans?

  10. Fucking crazy. If Hillary gets elected all these morons will get exactly what they deserve.

How many times does someone have to get caught lying, cheating and stealing before you stop listening to them?

I noticed in one debate she pretty much stopped trying to make sense, instead she elected to use magic buzzwords like "free healthcare" ,"tax credits", foreclosure freeze", etc.

It was really disturbing, and it would have been amusing had it not been such a serious thing taking place.

There would be a heated discussion over Iraq or something going on, and she would just somehow throw in something about healthcare, tax credits, or halting foreclosures and the crowd would start cheering and stuff. Even though she would be off topic.

It was like some weird retarded welfare version of Hitler or something.
