I have been watching the proceedings, and the continuing thought that dominates me is that we are the only country that could do this, to show such reverence and dignity to the memory of our leaders when they pass on from this world. Agree with their policies or not, all seem to come together and say farewell in unity. I think it says so much of us as a country. Watching all of these services re-enforces my pride in being an American. Godspeed, President Ford.
