He threw another one under the bus demoting Taco-Penis.

It's always all about him ... that Trumpers just don't get.

Trump will own the news cycle this morning and not a single republican contender for the nomination will take the opportunity to bash him for the sordid details of his affairs and payoffs.

A lot of losers today, both seen and unseen.

Wont help him in any legal way or political way? I’m not sure about either.

Trump will drag any charges he gets out well into the general election cycle and just like that there is a legal quandary.

Politically, he owns the Republican base. Fund raising, rallying, organizing, the media. I mentioned before Trump could win the Republican nomination now from a jail cell because it’s true. These guys don’t understand Trump started the primary process for everyone early and he is sucking up the base right now. By the time DeSantis, Rogers, Pompeo get in there will be nothing left but crumbs.

  5. Speaking of losers, I saw a clip yesterday from - I think it was CNN- where Trump was arriving at Trump Towers and one of the panel members was coming close to pointing out that everyone seemed well-behaved and there were not problems.

Whereupon, another tart on the panel says "that's a sign that he has lost support of his followers.

Heh. Can't win with that crowd.

The reality is that their shit network prays for January 6 type events to boost their viewership.

  6. Not a given that DeSantis will get in. He is young enough to wait another four years easily.

And despite the way everything tends to get framed here on the forum, not everything is just about Trump v. DeSantis. Desantis has issues with lack of sizzle these days that are not related to Trump. I watch Trump's crowds but I also look for some spark with DeSantis out on his "book tour" and I don't see any sizzle there either.

I fully concede that Trump is getting a major bump out of the dems unintended gifts to him on this NY thing. Nevertheless, it also contributes to the Trump fatigue amongst many of his former or marginal supporters. Not sure how many more of these scenarios they are up for. We know it is unlimited for some. But not for all.

One can argue that Trump's lead in the race will keep others out, but I dunno. Many are watching DeSantis. If or as he softens that may cause some to enter who thought that desantis owned the not-Trump space.

Yeah, the old pancake syrup on a turd. The truth is that the story with DeSantis is more about Florida than him.

Yesterday... Morning Joe said "It's the media's fault he stays in the news cycle. We have to stop."

As I was making my secret recipe java this AM, out of range of my beloved CNBC TV, I happened to hear on their fine, cutting edge news sister channel, Joe saying: "Stay with us for minute by minute, hour by hour coverage of this historic event."

  10. WTF!

Bloomberg reporter standing in front of the courthouse just said that the charges in this case would not disqualify Trump from running if convicted but that the charges in the other cases would.

That's complete bullshit. There are no felony charges anywhere that disqualify a president from running. Incurring public scorn for being convicted or being in prison can be problematic but they are not constitutionally barred or disqualified from running or being sworn in. The Senate could impeach immediately but that is another matter. Even impeachment would be constitutionally flawed because it is aimed at crimes committed in office, but as a practical matter the Senate can impeach for anything if it has the votes.

Bloomberg should stick to fucking up economics reporting and take a break from fucking up legal reporting.
