  7. Judge rules E. Jean Carroll can't be cross-examined about DNA sample Trump refused to provide

U.S. District Court Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled on Monday that author E. Jean Carroll cannot be forced to testify about a DNA sample that former President Donald Trump refused to provide for an upcoming rape trial.

"The lab could not reach such a conclusion at least in part because Mr. Trump refused to allow the taking of a sample of his DNA for comparison despite a request that had been outstanding for years."

NY grand jury investigating Trump will break for most of April, court source says
    https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/29/politics/trump-grand-jury-april-break/index.html

The Manhattan grand jury hearing the hush money case involving former President Donald Trump is currently scheduled to break after April 5 and restart later in the month, a court administration source told CNN.

It is not immediately clear whether the grand jury will hear the Trump case again before April 5.

Grand jury proceedings are secret and subject to change.

A spokeswoman for the New York district attorney’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

This story is breaking and will be updated.
