it would appear Trump is headed toward what seems to be virtually certain criminal indictment. His only hope would be delay. Perhaps a flare up of the old bone spurs will leave him bedridden howling in excruciating pain. Even as president there was no law that would protect him from indictment. Just Garland's decision to honor tradition and a ridiculous DOJ opinion left over from the Nixon Era. It is just a matter of time and timing now. He should be kept locked up until his trial. He's a flight risk.
