Right now in Maga Amercia, librarians who fail to identify a single book that contains a sexual reference face a class one (not three or four, a one) misdemeanour charge carrying up to a year in jail.

The decision that was made by The Justice Dept was made by Trumps hand picked AG Barr.Thankfully Barr isn't Braggs boss.

  5. Alvin, it appears, had his little fun by creating 30 plus charges out of one scenario. You know, you dice it up so that each payment or each time you pick up the phone to call someone in the related alleged crime becomes a separate count. A familiar game. It let's the prosecutor look ballsy for a day.

The flip side of that though is that once one of the underlying arguments is dismissed it takes all the counts down that rely on that argument.

So ballsy Alvin wakes up some day and he is now the man who brought 30 counts against Trump but none of them stuck.

That, my friends, is not a pretty for a prosecutor. Particularly for elected ones whose opponents in future races will stick it up his arse.

I think he is looking for a way out as someone above his pay grade is likely forcing him to do this.

Imagine if Braggs was playing 3D chess on cleaner Barr to assuage him he wouldn't got after Dump, let statute of limitation on misdemeanor charges expire and bam, hit him w/felony charges once cleaner Barr was out?

  9. Yep. Soros put a million into him so he wants to see the output.

It will be interesting to see if the House Committee is able to get the emails- if any- between Bragg's office and the DOJ. Merrick Garland will try to kill that with the argument that Congress is meddling in a prosecution. Nope. Congress- in its oversight capacity- is entitled to know if the DOJ coordinated on any of this.
