Gun manufacturers are smart, no doubt about it.

You are seriously getting more mentally unstable. It is getting impossible to tell what you actually believe or not.

Ah, the joys of killing your son in law, remember this heart warming story?

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/florida-man-will-not-face-charges-after-accidently-killing-son-in-law

"A Florida man who authorities said accidentally shot and killed the son-in-law who jumped out of a bush to surprise him for his birthday will not face criminal charges, police said Thursday.

Christopher Bergan, 37, arrived in Florida from Norway on Tuesday to surprise Richard Dennis, 61, his father-in-law, Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson said at a news conference."

These stories always start with "A Florida man..."

" For every time a gun in the home was used in a self-defense or legally justifiable shooting, there were four unintentional shootings, seven criminal assaults or homicides, and 11 attempted or completed suicides. "

In other words, you are likely more of a threat to yourself or your family then as a protector against intruders.

You are naturally attracted to stories about nasty intruders getting thwarted by gun toting home owners. I don't think you are nearly as interested in stories involving women getting shot by husbands/ex-boyfriend, young adults shooting themselves as they suffer with depression or drug use, or children accidentally shooting themselves or others around them. Your wife may be interested though. Too many males ignore risks and think they are beyond bad events happening to them.

  5. I regard this as complete nonsense, but even if it is true, denying the means of self defense to a free people is immoral.

No one is insisting that you or any of the other liberals here own a gun but we do insist that you keep your nose out of our decision to do so.

    Well no great surprise here.

"The attack is not believed to be random, according to police, who said they will be investigating the couple's acquaintances and friends to find out why the family was targeted in the home invasion."

In any case a .223/5.56 and the more recent AR-15 style .308s have way too much penetration for home defence. Shotguns are also scary.

I always keep a 20 gauge with dove load, enough to mess someone up, but won't go too far in the house.
