I have been trading for about 6 months, using ARCA because its touted by my trading firm. Executions seem fast and fair. Wondered what those who have been at this for a bit think of the various order routes if I can lean on your experience for a moment. Appreciate your comments

  2. it has been posted here before ...

that island is the quickest ... though perhaps that is due to it only
    matching internally

wonder what the ecn mergers will end up doing to execution speed

  3. Depends, INCA runs a very different system from a hardware persepctive. But Island is the fastest, very liquid, and INCA is pretty fast too, with some crazy liquidity. I actually find ARCA slow, ATTN slow and expensive, LSPD slow with lower liquidity.

Expect the ISLD INCA merger to slow down ISLD eventually.... (or whatever becomes of it)

  4. This ISLD INCA merger could really screw up QQQ trading...

    Turds....

  5. Why would inca continue to use the slower execution method they have when they now have islds, the fastest one out there.

  6. because isld executions are matched differently.....it may change , but the instinet backbone is apparently somewhat dated.
