Prediction Based Trading

Discussion in 'Journals' started by stockpredictor, Oct 10, 2020.

  1. Twitter long initiated.

Also, the BABA short I called last week hit has that candle the current high of day. (I didn't get into the BABA short though). The AAPL call also worked, giving the prediction system 2/2 so far.

  2. I'm not sure what strikes would give me ideal r:r overall. I suspect 2-3 weeks out. I find myself closing trades within 0-2 days, the vast majority of the time.

I wouldn't say 2/2 as the trades aren't over. Plus, one is losing money. You haven't called any exits yet, have you?. I only checked BABA and AAPL since you have not mentioned that any other targets were hit. I'd say you're 50/50 so far. Here's where we are so far:

    Code:
*BABA is under 297.99, short when hit
SNAP is over 25.93, long when hit
SNAP is over 24.86, long when hit
FB is over 241.27, long when hit
NVDA is over 537.57, long when hit
NVDA is over 553.20, long when hit
BA is over 185.19, long when hit
UAL is over 40.19, long when hit
UAL is under 30.72, short when hit
*AAPL is under 124.85, short when hit
TSLA is over 458.90, long when hit
AMD is under 73.86, short when hit
JNJ is over 150.67, long when hit
    --------------------------------------------------
DIR. INST ENTRY CURR EXIT RESULT
    SHORT BABA 297.99 299.46
    SHORT AAPL 124.85 120.71

This is one way you can make it easy for people to see your prowess ... or lack thereof.

  4. I called the AAPL exit earlier, when it was at 123.80 or so. I didn't call the BABA exit as I hadn't even entered, although I did say it was an intraday setup, not a swing. I was told to just trade live so I just posted exits on the ones I entered, ie XLU AAPL BIDU (TWTR still holding from 44.55 options)

I've already determined this thread will be the usual POS.
OP will make you jump through hoops while you attempt to squeeze blood out of a stone for detailed information as OP ducks and weaves with vague waffle.
    Give up now!
ET is for entertainment, there's fuckall here. :)

    Code:
XLU was called ex-post facto. Not including it.
BIDU no definitive entry call made in this thread.
TWTR no entry call made in this thread.
AAPL no definitive exit call made in this thread. Including it ... considering the chart and timing.
    --------------------------------------------------
DIR. INST ENTRY CURR EXIT RESULT
    SHORT AAPL 124.85 120.71 123.80 +

Hopefully, your call-making will be tighter going forward. C'mon man! :) ... are you trying to impress us or what? Get it together! :D

The man said he's got skills. So I wanna see.

If he does, I'll give him his props.

    If he doesn't, ... well ... like you said ... that's entertainment.

Ya, but when vagueness comes into it, very easy for OP to make excuses.
OP needs to run a spreadsheet so we can track what's going on without needing to check up on prior posts.

    True.

Vagueness only works in the absence of proper record keeping. Since the OP didn't want to put in that work; I am.

Any vagueness will be made clear to the observers by the records. Excuses will be seen for what they are.

This is either going to be impressive; or very funny ... for me at least.

  10. I closed TWTR long here at
That is literally what I'm doing. BIDU, AAPL, TWTR entry and exits screenshotted right after I entered. I didn't post my loss for XLU, okay I get it. But I don't understand what you want. Tell me, I'm all ears.

BTW I closed TWTR long here at 46.05
