its not a non sequitor at all. We do not know if outside of universe there is another universe with a different version of time... or no time. the only thing we know is that time in our universe started after the big bang. We don't know if there is time outside our universe.
from your link... "Modern scholarship has largely acknowledged the authenticity of the reference in Book 20, Chapter 9, 1 of the Antiquities to "the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ, whose name was James"[12] and considers it as having the highest level of authenticity among the references of Josephus to Christianity.[13][1][2][14][15][16] Almost all modern scholars consider the reference in Book 18, Chapter 5, 2 of the Antiquities to the imprisonment and death of John the Baptist also to be authentic and not a Christian interpolation.[17][18][19]" this almost by definition makes Jesus an historical figure. yes... there is a debate about another passage but that does not make jesus less of a historical figure. i
%% Mostly right. But its NOT '' foreordaining all that will happen'' Did God know the king of Egypt would be a Hebrew hater+ God hater+ do so much stupid stuff, that God would drown the king of Egypt. Yes; but its the king of Egypt's fault.......................................................
%% Good points. And in book of Exodus, which gets quite detailed, the LORD warned that Hebrew hater- God hater to let the Jews go, many times. The king of Egypt hardened his heart first, several times. The same sun that hardens clay; melts butter.
Repeating yourself isn't an answer. Explain how "another universe with a different version of time..." wouldn't still be a universe with the characteristics of time. Explain how a universe with "no time..." would have any time to exist. "We" do know when things happen, time happens too. A universe or a god would need time to happen, like everything does.
what the hell are you talking about? you made a statement that you can't support. don't try and misrepresent the simple statement I am making. --- 2. Your statement is the one that can't be proven. Stu said... ""We" do know when things happen, time happens too. A universe or a god would need time to happen, like everything does." prove your statement... you can't because we can take our math back through the big bang. in fact math and our universes fundamental laws and time all begin a fraction of a second after the big bang. you me and everyone else has no idea what happened "before" that. There may be no time and no before or after. So stop acting like you know something... you don't
