Now you are questioning me? Damn....been trading a lot longer than you my friend. I trade actively everyday(professionally) ...been doin it since 92...

As far as positioning before a huge number...thats gambling ...not trading....good luck with it.....

I'll wait for the smoke to clear and then go in......

But....seeing how this mkt has been destroyed recently, would look for a place to go long equity indexes....hopefully after some puking by the mkt...1214.50 on the cash would be a nice place to get long....

I trade actively everyday...but I dont blab about what Im doing like yourself and others....

    good luck man.....

  7. y'a, we might already be prepared to discount bad news..late numbers were bad but not ugly...maybe mkt will keep in mind all the losses so far, innit.

  8. Futures went from up 7 to pretty much flat on S&P so it seems for this minute right now, not a tanking, just not hte euphoria that existed overnight lol..

the issue driving the markets now will be what will Bernanke say about future increases.

the only people who will buy today are the buy and hold crowd who buy lower thinking they are getting value. even these guys will probably want to sit on the sidelines and wait for the market to settle.

i don't think most traders held a short position going into the CPI release, so there probably won't be much short covering.

so what's your bias going to be today?
