Power Outage

CNN reporting there's a fire at a Con Edision plant in NYC.

 

All exhanges in New York are closed because of the massive power outage. According to the news, Chicago is unaffected, so I assume Globex will be back up at 15:45 CST.

 

Settlement in futures today at 104-26, now in after hours at 4:40pm et 106-00 with a 106-12 high.

Man, it doesn't look good for tomorrow. Nyc, Detriot, Boston, Canada with major power outages!!!

 

this is disturbing. it cannot be one power plant. these cities
must have at least 10 plants.

How do you change server in IB to get in via Switzerland or Hong Kong?

My understanding is that you cannot change servers yourself - IB need to do it for you. I have one PC on New York, one on Switzerland, and one on Hong Kong, just in case.

 

cnn just said niagra power grid got overloaded.

 

I think you get the choice when you install IB which server to use. Not sure I want to do a reinstall
