hahaha... USD/CAD ... want to go long, but at 1.0760 (that's not an order, will have to see first) for me it's way too bearish to do anything long at this point
Oh you trade on the daily charts. Really, REALLY not my cup of tea. Buy hey, there are thousands of ways to make money trading.
how come? it's soooooooo relaxed ... the best is when you can enter on the H1 chart and manage to move to D1 .. then super tight risk and huge position, +pyramiding into it .. ahh i miss those yen breakouts
Yes I know, and I sometimes envy swing/long-term traders, but I simply cannot do it with the daily charts, I do not have the patience to wait weeks or months for a trading setup, I need action NOW! I see that I am talking with a connoisseur here. Yep, that's the way to go, look for an entry, pull the trigger, and then follow the trend on a higher time frame with a trailing stop or whatever + pyramid = big bucks. Keep up the good work my friend!
Cheers xelite. Not much of good work lately though, lost about 10 % on trying to catch a breakout in GBP/JPY and EUR/JPY (getting sick again on that EUR/JPY short, i closed half at loss and widened stop to above the triangle) .. but if i eventually catch it, i shall be compensated for all the loosers, and then it's pyramiding time!! But, as a trader, you have to decide between action now and big bucks, I think? With a 30 pip stop, you already loose 10 % to the broker via spread costs. Think about that! I'm in for the money first, then the love for the game.
Ok, here is the thing. I backtested my system with daily data and 15 min data, with 28 different currency pairs, from January 2000 to January 2014. The results show that by day-trading my system with 15 min charts I make about 53% MORE money than on the daily charts, spread included. So the choice is clear, I HAVE to day-trade, period! I also like day-trading because it suits my personality, which is an added bonus. That's the secret right there, find something that works AND suits your personality at the same time, if you want to succeed in this crazy business.
