Post economic collapse game plan

  1. Go a few days with no shit paper and you'll give up the bread.   I can tell you 3 things that most won't have on their 'stockpile list". Toliet paper, toothpaste and finger nail clippers. There's more, but it's the little things we take for granted that can really make a difference in how your day goes in tough conditions.

  2. When it looks like it, it will already be too late.

  3. Because naturally, anybody 21 or younger is a pussy. Like those Marines. Who are frequently 18-21 years old. Right.

If the 58 in your name is your birth year, then you're a racist!...right

  5. Ah, if only the average 18-21 year old were as focused and selfless as their Marine counterparts.

Not sure what race has to do with anything.

  6. You're missing the point...assuming that an entire generation is a certain way is a, for lack of better words, foolish thing to do.

Growing up in the 60's when racism was prevalent. Obviously not everyone who grew up in the 60's was a racist. I was applying your own logic to you.

Granted, there are those in that generation who are as you say, hence the stereotype. I suppose the reason you don't hear about the others is because you have no way of reaching them...except facebook :p

The best game plan would be to join a gang. Depending on your location, the bloods or the crips. :D

People like that will be cannibalizing each other right after the cats and dogs are gone... there would have to be a die-out of welfare sucking bottom feeders if everybody was in survival mode, I can't think of any other outcome...

Productive oriented people will have gardens and defend them as necessary... In my previous neighborhood a few of us would get together and go to the outdoor shooting range. From five contiguous houses, four households had rifles, pistols, thousands of rounds of ammo, laser sights, night vision, electronic surveillance equipment and electronics expertise, you name it.. and most there would not think twice about blowing away a looter, some had combat experience, etc... the fifth house were passivist marxists, we would put a big sign up saying "Loot here" for them.... what, do people think that some prison gang tattoos and some loud music is going to intimidate people defending their homes against looters? LOL..... it works on a bunch of old women waiting to get their welfare checks but in the real world, forget that shit, pure suicide and pure entertainment...

  9. The US has one of the highest per capita gun ownership rates in the world. Every other person I know is a hunter. A suburban subdivision with a close knit group of neighbors with guns is much safer than living on an isolated farm. In all but the most desperate economic situations, a well armed neighborhood working together is probably one of the safest ways to live.

I don't think in terms of some long-term collapse lasting years.

I think in terms of some catastrophe, maybe financial, maybe tectonic or maybe terrorism that disrupts the "just in time" production/delivery cycle of groceries and fuel. I think in terms of the grocery stores being empty for perhaps 2 weeks if something really bad occured. Perhaps throw in loss of power and loss of water pressure for those 2 weeks.

Would your neighbors be able to sustain themselves for 2 weeks? What would they do if they began to run out of food? What if they ran out of fresh water? What would they do?
