I was wondering why suncors shares had not declined after the current takeover of petro canada. I was thinking it should since they are paying with stock and t 30 percent premium. Shouldn't the shares drop unless the entire market believes petro canada is worth that premium.if this was the case though the shares should have already been at that level. While up 2%, Suncor shares (SU.TO) are still lagging the TSX by over 2%. The rise in Suncor this morning is due to the overall market being up so much and nothing else.
