Is it possible to somehow send manual orders from Tradestation to IB or to IB via MultiCharts ? * And if I purchased a DLL, how safe would that be? I will probably hire it done, but I need to nail down exactly how it needs to be done first. Any thoughts... or is it not possible? * I wish to diversify my broker risk plus IB comm. is cheaper than TS.
The Question is why use Tradestation at all? IB/MC -- works fine IB/Ninja -- works fine IB/TWS -- works fine IB/anything is infinitely better than Tradestation
Because TradeStation with Easy Language is still one of the easiest way for someone to code up a strategy, with the exception of MultiCharts with Easy Language. However, TradeStation is a one stop shop unlike MC, with integrated data & execution.
The newer ObjectOrientedEasyLanguage (OOEL) at TS is pretty nifty. It's too bad we can't use the platform with other brokers. I think NT can only be used with NT broker now BTW. If I can't duplicate my orders at the 2 brokers, I will probably shift more of my assets to IB for the coming year and use the legacy EL at MC. Thanks for your input.
