Is it possible to leave it on 24/7? I thought I read somewhere that TWS is inaccessible for a few minutes at around midnight EST. What you if just left TWS on? Will everything return to normal?
Yes it will. Your issue is that TWS has a "turn me off and restart timer" so you have to alter the log off time or use some sort of logon software if you want to run it 24x7.
I don't think you can do that. You have to use some software to automatically log you back on after it logs off. There was a thread here on ET recently where people recommended software for that, I can't recall what they said was good however. You can go to the IB website and check out the third party software, probably there is something there.... To change the logoff time in TWS go to Global configuration -- exit
