I am sure this has been talked about before but what exactly defines those 3? Day is obvious enough. Position is like 1-2 trades a day? and swing is...? My main question is that I have read that "the big boys" don't day trade....that it is far more lucrative to position trade... Is that right? Meaning I use a system on a one minute chart and grab 2-3 ticks at a time...is the above saying that the big boys would extrapolate the theory and try to trade on a daily or hour chart and make like 5 POINTS a trade? I'd appreciate any info...thanks...
Position trading is trading on a timeframe of 1 month+. Swing trading is generally from a few days to a few weeks.
