porsche Panamera as good an outdoor car as Cayenne?

i need to put surfboards, snowboards on the top and need space for camping stuff/segway/shits, which naturally make me look at SUVs like the Cayenne series. But Panamera seems more fun to drive. How is it as an outdoor car? Have you driven one on snow?
