Daily Mail election model moves to 'lean Trump' for the first time as he edges Harris in swing states
    • Trump has tightened grip on critical battleground states in the latest polling
    • The result is that our model is no longer a 'toss up' but now reads 'lean Trump'
It is the result of a raft of new polling data suggesting Kamala Harris' national lead has shrunk or evaporated altogether.

And multiple swing states now show that the former president has a narrow lead in most of the battlegrounds that will decide who wins the next election.

Democratic voter registration raises red flags for Harris
BY ALEXANDER BOLTON - 10/13/24 5:00 PM ET

Democrats’ voter registration advantage has dropped in three key battleground states — Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Nevada — raising a red flag for Vice President Harris as experts cite a lack of enthusiasm for the Biden administration brand and the Democratic Party, generally, as problems.

In Arizona, another key battleground state, Republicans have seen their voter registration advantage increase substantially, which could make it tougher for Harris to carry a state President Biden narrowly won in 2020.

Other presidential battleground states, including Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin, do not register voters by party.

A new Yale Youth poll finds Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump among voters under age 30, 56% to 35%.

For comparison, Joe Biden won this age group by 60% to 37% in 2020.

Let's provide the direct Twitter thread from Simon Rosenberg. The Republicans are deluging the media space with "polls" from pro-Trump polling firms in order to "flood the zone" in the last month before the election. It's a deliberate strategy. They are doing this because they know they are losing.

  10. Unlike 538 RCP doesn't include all those polls, something you were previously griping about.

Also, the side doing badly in the polls always complains and makes excuses about them.
