    > ... he shied away from a basic test I requested (
    >I am still waiting. What are the 3 words I wrote
    >on the paper on my wall?)

    >Nuff said.

Of course Rcan conveniently fails to note that he just as vigorously shied away from the *two* word test I requested.

    Nuff said (actually, no) ...

Rcan is such a typical "Christian" (and I do use that term loosely), continually asking for the proof from others that they themselves refuse to offer.

  3. He is also a typical Christian in that he attacks others for the same things he does himself. The way he personally attacks others who disagree with him suggests that he may well be the most self-righteous dude on ET.

  4. The truth of the gospel according to the bible is Jesus for His death, truth and example has saved all souls and every soul in our universe now, in the past and future. It doesn't matter whether one believes this gracious truth or not.

Believers if willing would learn from Him. How many actually will exactly follow His example till death? Probably Only a few each generation - according to Jesus.

    Peace

Um, no. You can fantasize about some other truth. But to do so is some kind of escape. We are animals (in the good sense of the word). We are also animals (in the bad sense of the word). But that's another story.

  6. The Jesus I know from the bible sets an example for everyone to challenge many religions, traditions, conventions, etc. that were devised by authorities to make other people being slaves via controlling their minds and actions by means of religions/ traditions/ conventions/ etc.

The Truth (Jesus Himself actually and historically didn't/ doesn't belong to any particular religion as so many others tried to claim today and yesterday) and His truth is to set all these people (including authorities) free from their bondage! This is our salvation in reality.

  7. Agree. To call oneself a Christian is pretty ignorant or arrogant for most folks. At best, we may be wannabe Christians, but who is really willing to "walk the walk."

To be on the ET message board is probably grounds for disqualification......doh!

  8. That depends on your philosophy. most human views on Christianity still thinks it has something to do with our actions ("being good"). And that most go to heaven. And that our view or belief somehow should be factored into what is right behavior of God. Etc. Etc.

however, the scriptural view is that He chose His followers before the world was:

Ephesians 1:4-5 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him In love. He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will

and that few would believe or go to heaven

"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

and that our views are contrary to God's purpose

TIT 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
GEN 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
JER 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
ROM 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known: 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

  9. I think we shouldn't allow the bible to limit our minds/ thoughts/ acts.

I guess our God wouldn't like the silly idea that He has to follow and be limited by the conflicting messages/ context in a bible (written by humans) of any religion (constructed by humans).

According to our human history, it seems God didn't impose too many limits to us. And whether that's a correct view or not, why should we impose so many limits to God, according to the bibles or any theologians?

I firmly believe that God certainly can/ is able to do anything anytime He likes and enjoys, far far beyond what our bibles say about Him.

Unless, we would prefer a man-created God!
