  2. However I did get stung by the 1986 Tax Reform Act....

This wiped out lots of folks....most of whom were not political....

The tools were there....and they used them....

The speed limit was changed in the middle of the race in 86....

    .................................................

This is why the system deserves a giant reset button....

To a visible....hard fast reliable form of asset valuation....which a 10/5 C tax only environment WOULD produce....

No more "hush puppies" for the barkers....

And a fair competitive pricing format for all production....

I don't know about you but getting wiped out for SOMEBODY ELSE'S REASONS IS NOT A FAIR GAME....

  3. Here in Texas we all pay the same sales tax.
I understand what you saying I just disagree. I see nothing wrong with those making more paying more.
What you are suggesting is a regressive tax which is unfair. Again my opinion.
It all doesn't matter anyway, as long as spending is like it is.

  4. ...................................................

    Nope....

Know where you are coming from....

    This time ...it is different....

    As mentioned above.....

When a 10/5 Ctax is implemented vs the current and upcoming takes....

It simply means that the US will be able to be far more competitive in overall pricing....

Taxes are just another cost of production....the bigger the take....the more expensive the price....the less competitive the seller.....

Another point of clarification are valuations.....when the take grows from a decreasing revenue....valuations falter....and vice versa....

It does not matter what you or I think is fair.....

It does play a grand role in both prices , and the ability to compete.....

The US has made a lot of legal promises that it cannot keep....

Thus one cannot lose what one does not have....

Best to press the reset button .....and rebuild....

And build it better this time around....

    That's it....

    .....................................................

By the way 47% and growing do not pay any income tax.....

What is to going stop it from being 87% ?

  5. Nice ideas, but lobbying is protected by the Constitution. Look it up. We don't want to let the statists destroy any more of that document now do we? As much as we all hate lobbying, there are valid cases of it and curbing it by law will hurt the essence of freedom of speech in this country.

A more effective measure would be Congressional term limits.

  6. Nice but when has government ever reduced its size?

  7. I'm for reducing taxes and spending. But remember the Swiss don't police and defend the world, now or for the past 100+ years. So the comparison is flawed. Military expenditures are one of the few constitutionally justified actions of Congress, there is so much glut and waste and corruption in the rest of our spending. Let states be states. Or why even bother, why not just live under one federal government?

Whatever happened to a constitutional and democratic republic?

  9. .....................................................

    Washington lobbyists...eliminated

What would not be eliminated would be state by state.....states could lobby .....

Much tighter/more visible system by state not fed mandate....

Internet local would also increase visibility....and local mandates....

    ................................................

Advertising budgets no longer a factor....

    Mostly internet based....and local....
