The hostility from the media and his party was there long before he was calling people "failing" and "losers". Even if Trump were completely ingratiating to them, they'd still work to undermine him at every turn.

He came on pretty strong. Remember he started really getting into politics in 2012 with the birther movement.

I remember. I'm not sure I understand your point, though.

Well we will know for sure next year. Why not just wait until then to decide if our resident is popular or not?

I hope you're as pleased about the "really great" health care plan that Trump will replace Obamacare with. That should be something that will firmly "cement" his popularity!;)

  5. I wonder how many presidents since WWII were this hostile towards the media yet expected to be fawned over. You'd think the Great Negotiator would have thought that one through.

  6. Because, more than just occasionally, it was.

  7. That's a guess on your part. Regardless, perhaps his being an arrogant and abrasive asshole ignorant of facts and flip with comments has something to do with it. Just guessing, of course.

each poll is evaluated. you can't just provide one honest poll and then hide your templates after that. that would be something you might shill but that would not an honest poll.

5 years ago they qualified as a jem honest poll.
that most recent poll is not. (providing they did not reveal their template or the template was not properly balanced.)

    his advisors are idiots.
the democrats are never going to swing much more in his direction.

so with this move to the sellout middle... he may gain a few never trumpers in the beltway but his is going to lose millions of the people who voted for him because he was anti establishment.

I was completely against that Ryancare piece of crap.
I do not care if he is popular or not.
It seems he is moving towards the establishment instead of draining the swamp.
    his ratings should go down.

Because, more than just occasionally it's born out of the same irrational mindset and prejudice that inhabits those who constantly insult Trump, wishing him harm, calling him Hitler, Facist, et al.

The left has morphed into this mob where any thought or belief other than their "prescribed and authorized" version of the truth is violently castigated. The standard-bearer of tolerance is now a hypocrite.
