franklin, perhaps you'd like to come back to the scalping thread and have your beliefs on the "importance of edges" over the "unimportance of psychology" challenged, not to mention actually contribute something - for change. From what I can remember, franklin, you left, pulling your tail in. Like most of those did who can't participate in proper discussions. Next thing, they put pins through their nose, color their hair yellow and try to scare people on the street. Here they just participate in threads trying to diminish the contributions of others and feel strong in the presence of fellow trolls, and when a moderator goes through with a sword, they all jump away like cockroaches. Just look at the irony, franklin. You're always welcome to contribute or challenge me for real. Beats the heck out of trolling. http://info.astrian.net/jargon/terms/t/troll.html
ROFL!!! Guess again at the motives and sucsess levels of those who know you're a slobbering fraud. Vulture, Specul8tor, riskarb and Hello Dollars are MAJOR players. Members who have never attacked anyone else are laughing at you in droves. Wake up. The poll speaks for itself!
......I'm not kidding here, my stuff is popular all over Australia now although I basically "stopped" almost a year ago! This is a main reason why I started trading - I don't like the publicity and exposure. But some great designs are still there - And sure worth looking at before they go! You quit because you don't like the publicity yet you BRAG about your exploits in every post. You are a LOSER!!!!!!!
I left because you are a braggart and a bully. I have no interest in helping you learn how to trade, have no need for your attention, and much prefer that you think the wrong things about me (a lesson from your karate). On my end, I really shouldn't post if I'm not going to take the time to respond adequately to others. Usually, I'm good about this, and limit my ET time to reviewing new posts once a day. My post in your thread was just an involuntary response to all the **** you were promoting about psychology. I hope that you stick it out and find better ways to express yourself and to deal with others on ET.
Man... you keep digging yourself a deeper hole. I'm not referring to whether or not your a pathological liar or a sociopath -- I'm referring to the fact that the Wechsler test score distribution shows area under the curve in the tail up to 160. The irony that you still cannot decipher this simple fact is hilarious. I'm done with you, you're not worth my time. A word of advice, grow up, find some badly needed humility and get a new handle. arb.
I missed this statement, which belies what you've stated in other threads. Dude, you've either got problems keeping your bullsh*t straight, or you've got early-onset Alzheimers. arb. I will not respond to any further comments from this putz... he's on ignore
What does it belie? "Keeping my bull$hit straight"??? WTF are you talking about??? Are you making false allegations again, like every other troll here? Of course you're bailing now, so you have an excuse not to substantiate your ridiculous claims against me, just like everyone else here! How gutless can you be?! And for the record, here's a hint: There ARE people who have scored way above 160 on the Wechsler test, under psychological supervision and certification. Do you seriously even want to consider arguing this? You must be out of your mind! Get a life! I wonder who you're mixing me up with to make up all this $hit!
Are you serious? And you call me arrogant? You're basically making yourself guilty of exactly what you're accusing me of! Most of the **** I was "promoting" at that point was directly quoted from Mark Douglas' best passages. To make such a comment shows me that you clearly have not read it, and if so, did not possess the maturity or interest to have understood it. Another possibility is that you're simply a position or longer-term trader using a lot less leverage and therefore not interested in understanding it. Does this give you licence to discredit my efforts and those of everyone else in the thread and run amok? In case you don't remember, I'd like to remind you that most of the people there disagreed with your stance of "psychology is less important". You were the "odd man out". And you talk about "****"? You were making your point that "most people fail to find a proper edge", rather than failing on psychology - And you were arguing this with highly organized and successful prop traders on the thread, like trade4succes?! I wonder where you're coming from? Are you Victor Niederhoffer? This is for the record: I can, with a standard set of spreadsheets and analysis tools I have, work out a good handful of functional "edges" for pretty much any futures market within about 2 days. These edges will WORK. Yet, to fine-tune them, execute them flawlessly and apply decent leverage, the development of edges itself becomes secondary. But then, fine - Opinion is each one's own and you have yours. Thanks for your advice.
Like I said, I should not have said anything in your thread if I was not willing to put in the time to respond to you. For your edification: - all confident people are "arrogant" in some sense, but are not all bullies or braggards - not everyone thinks Douglas is a god - not everyone who disagrees with you is a moron - even when you think they are morons, it is not necessary or wise for you to imply they are morons - a good trader is not worried about being the "odd man out" - the entire trading education industry is based on selling us marginal trading strategies, which, upon failure, are defended by declaring that the users did not apply adequate discipline (psychological control) to their execution (very similar to weight control programs ) - psychology is as important as you want to make it; there are many ways to trade in all time frames - if you want this thread to die, stop posting to it Okay, that's all the free tips you get for now. Make of it what you will. Good luck in your trading, and I look forward to learning more from you in the future. If you feel a need to get in the last word, be my guest - I won't be responding to you again on this thread (nothing sinister about that, just managing time).
