MAXIMUM PAIN is when the market doesn't move for many months/years .... Then traders cannot earn $$$$.
Very good observation, thanks. I've been thinking this same thought lately but related to the economy in general, not just speculative markets. If money ever goes up in value this is exactly what happens - fewer and fewer transactions which has a doom-loop effect, exacerbating the appreciation of the currency and sending it under mattresses. In other words, always go with the trend, and stocks (no matter how fundamentally unsound) get bid because the banks know how to devalue the money slowly enough to keep you spending. maxumum pain in this context is a spike in the dollar index that doesn't revert back down
maxinger is a dumbfuck. You can tell because he has me on block. The markets are not done going down in the short term. There's a song for that.
I can easily see the tape explode to the upside tomorrow, destroying the bears that shorted the bend in the trend, for MAXIMUM PAIN!
