Maybe not quite so simple Gabby. You seem to be implying that ET is a place which gives one sided and distorted info.

Would you say the info is 75% to 90% bad and/or misleading (like Fox News)?

If it's bad or misleading, are the members doing it intentionally (like Fox News) or merely in a misguided fashion (like Fox News)?

  3. I think he means that ET has taken a big step in the "fair and balanced" direction by presenting more politically conservative views. Coming from someone who lives in a Socialist country, that is a brave admission.

  4. No, it's more like the Jerry Springer of trading. On rare occassion there's something to learn, but it's mostly a friggin' circus, of which I am a willing participant.:p

  5. Good points. Fox "News" in the sense that the occasional times something intelligent and thought-provoking is posted, it is usually "shouted" down by the reigning majority here at ET.

Well, from that point of view, then, yes ET is like Fox News. However, when the snake oil salesmen show up, they too are shouted down. So, I guess you could say that ET is "fair and balanced". Hey, maybe it is like Fox News!! :p

  7. I had to change my vote after Gabfly restated the question.

  8. Even simpler questioner.:D :p

  9. Did you mean "intelligent and thought-provoking" in the sense of liberal, leftist and socialist?

  10. Is that when you moved the thread to P&R? Would you have kept it in its original forum had it not been for my clarification?
