No, but if a stock has 10% volatility it can move much further than that. I've been screwed many times using margin even when the stock swung 10% or less against me the loss was too much to handle and I ended up chasing losses and blew my account. It's more about the mental aspect.
I don't understand some of these answers. Get your 57 license, get 50 to 1 leverage, learn to manage risk, and we can talk. Sorry for the language in advance, but of course you fucking use margin. What is the point of being on this site if you don't?
