If you check his post history, you'll see that he's still looking for someone to teach him to trade after being totally ripped-off by Puretick.
At the time of this writing almost two-thirds of respondents voted they do not think Larry Williams is a charlatan. Fortunately for us, Larry himself apparently participated in this thread, under the user name "larrywms." Here are some conclusions that I think we can reasonably draw from this thread. Apart from the votes, which speak for themselves, let us look at the caliber of conduct and content of the typical Williams apologist. With few exceptions, and there have been some, I think an objective observer would consider the typical Williams apologist to be decidedly obtuse and blunt. When pointed questions were raised, larrywms himself responded with platitudes and misdirection, which a reasonably sharp mind could easily see though, and would be justifiably insulted by. However, Larry's proponents ate it up with a smile. If nothing else, they seem to collectively lack the capacity for objective, critical analysis and assessment, and, dare I say, introspection. They may be outstanding traders even, but I doubt it. I'm guessing they're "just almost there," and that Larry's guidance will get them over the edge "very soon now." Not unlike the seminar attendees described in the article posted in another thread: http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1003736&highlight=larry+williams#post1003736 And so, rather than attempt to legitimately take apart a well-constructed argument, they opted to ridicule cold logic and ignore the rank smell of what they hold dear. However, the argument and all its implications don't go away. Holding on to a bad trade comes to mind. Is it a matter of fear? Is it bad judgment? Or is one perhaps contributing to the other? Surely the dots are not so distantly apart, and even the NFA sought to give them clarity. And so, when nearly two-thirds of a trading site's respondents choose faith over reason, there can only be one conclusion: opportunity exists.
Yes, a surprising amount of people on the Forum actually do have common sense. You good folks should take note that the biggest detractors (Thunderdog and Puretruth) have never done anything to prove that they actually do or do not know how to trade at all. Puretruth got screwed over by Puretick and has dedicated every single one of his posts to chasing after them ... up until now (LOL). Thunderdog spends all day arguing with everyone in the politics, religion and chit-chat forums ... it's only natural that he should continue the process in this (by its nature) defamatory thread. We know for a fact that Puretruth felt he was ripped-off by Puretick, so he has spent virtually everyone of his posts chasing them around the website, and despite the fantasy comments, I've never seen anything from him saying he can trade. Thunderdog can't trade, period. He runs screaming from anything even remotely resembling giving proof that he can trade at all, and starts hysterically accusing everyone of being liars. Lets not pretend that you know anything about holding on to bad trades ... or taking good ones. You don't. Not that you or your little butt-buddy will be able to catch them when they come.
My question is; who gives a shit? The amount of time and effort some of you pretenders, throw into this sort of noise is ridiculous.
With over 100 respondents to the Poll, I would say a lot of people on the Board give you shit, you dipstick. ... and since you bothered to reply, you obviously give a shit too ... (what a moron, he probably takes trades that he knows are going to be losers too). ROTFLMAO!
And why o why does Larry the Saint doesn't sue Mr.David Burton for spreading all the "lies" about LW ?????????? The "lies" have been there for years... http://www.schoolofgann.com/Default.aspx?tabid=96 What you need to know more than that ? The majority decides based on emotions not on solid facts, arguments The majority wants to believe that showman Larry is for real.. The same reason why the majority is always wrong at key market turning points...........that's the same majority that buys into the hype of L.W.
My point is that you are as anonymous as I am. What is the word of someone like that worth ? Your subjective interpretation has to be taken into account.. If LW was upfront, he would put his statements on his website...simple as that. P.S. Check out the Don Miller threads, I just discovered that Jeb9999 is probably Don Miller ( just doing your work)
I actually agree. All I was offering was an independent opinion based on Larry Williams trading records. If its of no value to you, so be it. I took offense to the implication that I somehow was giving a positive review in return for some financial reward .. that's not the case. Only LW can answer why he doesn't produce audited statements. He's clearly had a good run the last 18 months. My guess is that even if he did produce audited statements, someone would be unhappy that it didn't cover all 20+ years, was not by an accounting firm "approved" by them, etc PS: my job is not to answer random allegations from anonymous posters on the internet. ET is for entertainment.
