"The government will have to borrow nearly 50 cents for every dollar it spends this year, exploding the record federal deficit past $1.8 trillion under new White House estimates. Budget office figures released Monday would add $89 billion to the 2009 red ink — increasing it to more than four times last year's all-time high as the government hands out billions more than expected for people who have lost jobs and takes in less tax revenue from people and companies making less money."

There it is running the deficit at 4 times last years rate, but hey, thats just grasping at straws. The CBO said this hurts growth, but thats just grasping at straws too.

  2. okay Thunderdog, i am going to step in your dog-pen and try not get a dog-doo snow cone on my shoes. If Obama, would get rid of some of the people surrounding him, I might at least acknowledge his presidency.

  3. That's not a quad according to the French judge; current debt runs about 11 trillion, most of it run up during REPUBLICAN administrations and a quad would bring it into the 40 T range.

Obama's budget, largely a result of Republican failure to control spending while they had the chance, is no where near a quad of debt.

Classic misuse of data by a dittohead, uninformed, wingnut.

  4. I meant the budget deficit.

Of course most of it is from Republic administrations. The Republicans have had the Presidency for 20 of the last 28 years. Did you just think of that yourself?

  5. Huh? So Bush spent too much which required Obama to run 4 times the deficit. That makes zero sense.

  6. Classic statist response. If you can't beat someone, you resort to name calling. I would expect no less.

  7. I learned the name calling from you as you seem to call everyone who disagrees with you a "statist" or "socialist".

You have revealed your stupidity completely in this response although you have done so many times before.

Hello pot or are you a ditto head or is it a teabagger or are you a gun nut or is it that you really are just a poseur repeating what he hears on faux news or from commander rush or are you a racist or is it that you really are Commander Cody?

  8. I don't recall calling anyone a socialist. I do call people statist because that description is what best fits Obama supporters. I used to use the word liberal, but I stopped using that word because it really does not describe Obama and his supporters very well. I am a liberal by definition.

Liberalism is a broad class of political philosophies that considers individual liberty and equality to be the most important political goals.[1]

"Liberalism emphasizes individual rights and equality of opportunity. Within liberalism, there are various streams of thought which compete over the use of the term "liberal" and may propose very different policies, but they are generally united by their support for constitutional liberalism, which encompasses support for: freedom of thought and speech, limitations on the power of governments, the rule of law, an individual's right to private property, and a transparent system of government."

"Statism (or Etatism) is a term that may refer to any (or all) of the following:

Government having a major role in the direction of the economy, both through state-owned enterprises and indirectly through the central planning of overall economy.
The "concentration of economic controls and planning in the hands of a highly centralized government."
The Fascist concept of statism which holds that "basic concept that sovereignty is vested not in the people but in the national state, and that all individuals and associations exist only to enhance the power, the prestige, and the well-being of the state. The fascist concept of statism repudiates individualism and exalts the nation as an organic body headed by the Supreme Leader and nurtured by unity, force, and discipline."

It is pretty clear to me that Obama's supporters are not liberals, but statist.

  9. Not a bad post; first one of yours that made some sense.

IMO Obama is no where near a statist but we may differ. Bush and Cheney were not far from that mark either.
