Which one you are comfortable with in day trading ?

  1. Bullish

  2. Bearish

  3. Both bullish and bearish

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Subjective vs objective. Both in reality. Which to use?

Math perhaps does make some difference in business and certainly trading, but just being one who uses math might become profitable in business or trading, great management will beat most who only know math. A good manager will hire someone who knows math if business requires higher skills, IMHO.

One year I decided all I would take were sells, so I scalped/day traded only sells, long term only sells. At end of the year I made less money than I did previous year even though I increased positions. But I made more on average trade longer term, and scalping/day trading was just pennies more as it averaged out year before, but speed of market and blood pressure was less each month, there are less false signals selling and overall I had less signals, paid less in brokerage. Forgot what year it was but very strong Bull so had less opportunities to sell stocks/commodities longer term. But I did learn much, for me it is safer to sell then to buy early after trend change and next signal there after, the swings are faster but often times shorter and near most actual bottoms, volume is lighter as big funds/large traders and commercials have bought already. What often happens is having huge down move and huge volume, but often those lows broken on much less volume, it clears out weaks longs. Bullish markets are much more herky jerky, many more false signals cause let's face it, many people never sell short shocks or short commodities. But it was a fun year and 2008 was very fun even though I was doing some buying as trends were short, but I truly enjoy selling much more than buying any time. But to make money trading, you have to do both.

that is what i mean't in using the term "formation". I mean't the "act" of forming not the finished formation. For a PA the finished formation contains relevant info. For you only the information of the pieces of the incoming data(i.e. the ticks) being the buy/sell side (your order of the ticks?) the amount (in ES contracts..your flow of data?), the amount of time passing between each tick (your relation to timing?). Kind of like amps, volts, ohms of resistance in electricity. You then care less about the color of the wire (finished formation). So you are then only concerned with the incoming data not any "visible" pattern it forms? However, you must be concerned with some "sort of pattern" that results from the order, the flow, the timing. Or how else do you device a strategy for the different what you call senarios? Thanks.

Mtrader, again you give yourself WAAY too much importance. I could give a flying F...K how you trade. I have my methods and I NEVER asked you to prove ANYTHING. I did not ask for statements or charts or proof of any kind. So if you have some sort of insecurity well that is your problem. I simply Iiked a post where someone said you are not that important and now reading your reaction to that "Like" I agree 1000%. You seem to think that if someone disagrees with you it's because I have some sort of alterior motive. You can go back and look at any of my post (because I am not afraid to hide what I say,....unlike you). I have posted MANY times how I trade and have even given detailed explanations as to how I did things. It works for me, will it work for you....doubtful. will it work for others, who knows. But I have not gotten where I am today because I did it in isolation. I have had several people along the way that have given tidbits of advice here and there. I could care less if you choose to share your tidbits or not....but again I will tell you the Market doesn't give a shit who you are or how you trade....you are NOT that important. NONE of us are. If your system is profitable good for you. Don't think helping others will make that less so.

The model is mathematical so it works with values and rules that have to be fulfilled. That's the "visible pattern" for the model.
I can follow what happens and how the situation is by a graphical presentation of the actual situation. For a human charts are far more visual than ranges of numbers. For research and visual checks I need the graphical form.
The scenario's are built in flowcharts and then programmed.

You're not the only one. It seems I am also blocked from seeing his posts/profile now. *shrugs* I have yet to do that to anyone here. Even if I totally hate a poster, I do not block/ignore them. Because even the biggest tools have the occasional valuable thing to say that could help my trading, and to be more profitable. To cut-off that extra bit of informational stream would be counter-productive.

    Alas.

I know I have not blocked anyone either. I could care less. It's amazing how a simple "LIKE" can get someone so bent out of shape.

  8. Can we have loops in the program ?
    For example

    Loop Begin

If Condition = Yes Then Exit Loop

    Loop End

    LOL

It is a little bit more complicated. The structure looks more like this:

PS: This image is just a sample that has nothing to do with trading. Just to avoid that smart traders start to make remarks on it.

I see a few missing numbers so my "blocked friends" apparently are very active. Their activity is linked one on one with their frustration and their "ego problem". LOL.
