Poll: 76 percent say U.S. ready for black president

  1. If my memory serves me right, around 90% of Blacks voted Obama in democratic candidate race.

If only 69% of Blacks think their race is ready for president, how come 90% of Blacks voted Obama?

69%, It is total nonsense. In U.S. people are taught with the attitude "You can do it". Are the blacks taught that "Blacks are inferior, not qualified for president"? No. This poll is obviously fabricated by the leading liar- CNN.

  2. Unfortunately we are not ready. As long as the system creates racial inequality we wont have a black and a woman president.

Do you understand how concentrated Obama's vote is. It is simular to Al Gore in 2000.
Gore2000 was destroyed when you look at the county map. He lost 75% of all the counties.
His popular vote came only from a half dozen major city counties.
Obama has the same pattern, so he's going to increase that vote with new voters.
In Chicago Cook county Obama picked up 300,000 more votes then Hillary, that is about half his national lead.

Obama will win the popular vote in Nov. but will lose by electral votes

The reason the poll is the way it is, is not because Blacks think Obama is electable, but rather than they think whites and this country are not ready for a Black president. Many Blacks feel that if Obama is elected, there will be assassination attempts on his life.

The poll is correct. You were just understanding it incorrectly.

  7. 76% is of guilt ridden, politically correct white Americans may "say" they're ready, but when the curtain closes they'll hold their nose and vote for McCain, or they'll stay home. Obama has no chance.

  8. I predict if he wins there'll be "huge rioting from celebration and disappointment" in Congress, that will last for four years. The guy has no political capital. He thinks he will be national "steamroller" just as Spitzer thought. Congress will train him. On the world front, I'll give a plus, he is not a typical American "suit". The wild card is his ethnicticity.

After 8 years of Bush, America is ready for pretty much anyone short of Robert Mugabe to be president.

  10. Careful what you wish for, I recall people feeling the same way in 2000.
