Politicians cost too much to taxpayers and society

Discussion in 'Economics' started by buttermarket, Feb 8, 2020.

  1. Politics and elections in america has become a business and circus show. Media outlets like radio, tv, newspapers an internet advertising youtube etc now make 10% of their revenume from political advertising. and politicians due to high cost of elections and 'advertising' now have to ask for DONATIONS to be on the candidate to be hired. Do you companies spend millions in hiring? no right.

These politicians are just representatives and employees of the public, ulitmately the people is still the gov't regardless of who is elected. . this is BS what policians and parties alweays on the news. CAMPAIGNING and talking too much. and causing trouble with BS rhetoric to get attention in the media and think they are number 1.

non-stop campaigning, I mean every two years you have election campaigning. Trump already preparing for next election now. what has trump done since elected for the country. congress of the people wants him fired. and thees guys at Senate refusing to fire him. WTF. man who cares if Trump is fired, politicians are replaceable and disposable.

employees have performance targets..poliicians seems to have no performance targets ,,they can do nothing and get paid.

it seems like political news sells.. and people love it.

is american DEMOCRACY always been like this, the American system of politicas was not suppose to be PARTIES and the represeentative were suppose to not vote on party lines. now if the rep doesn't vote on party lines he won't get funding in the next election campaign and no donations. so who does the politician work for now? he works for the 'party' and his donors, not the people who vote for him or her

Let the people decide in November. Are you having TDS and can't wait to get Trump out of office?

Your rant should be in the 'Politics' subforum, not 'Economics'.

Because the original poster linked it to costs, which is an economic issue.
