Police shoot a guys dog for filming them

So they should have shot the dog with the assault rifles instead?

In major cities, fairly often. Especially since 911.

    Yes I agree

For the police it is, for us citizens not as much as it used to be.

    I would think so, yes.

THAT was a mistake by the dog owner. Not sure how it warranted the death penalty though.

    1) the "situation" on the video was neither stressful or dangerous to the cops
    2) their job certainly can be stressful and dangerous though
3)I'm a beer guy, Moose Drool Brown Ale when I can get it
4)The plane I currently fly doesn't have flight attendants
    5)it's called an autopilot, moron
    6)"saber tooth" dog, really?

Several years ago a neighbors dog escaped it fence. As it had done before. I personally witnessed it attacking one jogger and biting another. It wasn't a Rot but it was about the same size as the dog in the video. I went to the owners front door to notify them. No answer and when I turned around this dog had snuck up behind me maybe 15 feet or so.
He started in with the vicious growling and all. I had no weapon or protection of any kind. I raised my arms a bit and ran straight toward him. He ran off.

  2. Probably from a few ass holes on here...

Just the title of this thread explains a whole lot of what's wrong with America. "Police shoot a guy's dog just for filming them"

This is a much used tactic in the social media to lead subscribers by the nose into seeing something other than the truth.

The saddest part is how effectively it still works. Like I said to RN, my first instinct was to pistol whip the cop, and I actually kind of fell for the whole "Compliance" show that Rosby had constructed.

It really seemed like it could be jurisdictional abuse, by the police- especially after my mind was pre-lubed to thread's title statement.

Sometimes we just have to stop and ask ourselves the age old question, "Am I being an unreasonable asshole here?"

If the answer has never been yes, then chances are you're being an unreasonable asshole right now.

  3. I'm not sure why, Lurc, but I actually kind of like you in your Archie Bunker meets drunken white trash type of attitude, but I start to lose hope for you when you make these statements.

If you watch the video again, you will see that directly across the street from Rosby's confrontation, their are multiple police officers, armed and ready to fire, moving in to apprehend a potentially armed suspect from the premises.

Do you smoke crack when you fly? Just curious.

  4. Of course, Lurc, if you took your buddy Maxipad's advice, you probably never watched the first two minutes of the video to even know what the situation was.

lol. No wonder, you're so ignorant- it's purely by choice.

  5. Again, this is a classic example of irresponsible dog owners who feel the need to own a potentially dangerous animal but seemingly have no ability to control the animal. The dog acted aggressively towards armed officers, who are already on a jacked-up adrenaline rush from thinking they might be actually apprehending dangerous suspects.

Were the suspects the actual culprits?

    No.

Is that the fault of the police, that they pulled over the wrong suspects?

    We don't know the answer.

Were the dog owners able to control their potentially lethal animal?

    No.

Dog was destroyed as a result.

Fault on part of officers: undetermined

Fault on part of dog owners: without doubt

Thanks for sharing so that others can learn from these catastrophic mistakes and negligence on the part of ignorant and irresponsible dog owners.

You are joking with me, true? I do not eat dogs, and do not have the cow for companion pet. :D So funny!

  8. Thank you, and sorry for the too big pic.

He is the most loving and awesome dog that could ever be made. I could never forgive myself if anything were to happen to him out of my stupidity.

I could go on and on telling you stories of his greatness. I actually fibbed about him being a blue ribbon best of show winner, but I have no doubts to his champion bloodlines.

I rescued him when he was about 4 years old. I took him out of doggy hell, and have tried my best to give him doggy heaven for his short time on earth. We've been best of friends since then, and he is a great commodity to our family, acting as a nanny dog and a watch hound.

  9. yeah, I was joking about it. I knew it was the Indians who had cow pets, and it's the Chinese (Particularly the ones up north east who eat their dogs, and make jackets from their fur.

Just seeing if I could get you to bite :D

I was referring to the dog situation. Like I said it was neither dangerous or stressful.
