Both Bush and Clinton and most every politician thinks they are the law. Bush though claims God talks to him and tells him what to do.
I don't care who Bush or Clinton talk to, they both think they are above the law. Does it really matter if they are talking to God or their dog?
This is going off in a direction that I did not intend. I am not defending these guys in any way. Thank you, omega, for the defense, but I have my own torch and pitchfork out. I want to understand, to "social engineer" for prevention, but these kids may very well be broken, fubar if you will.
There are plenty of circumstances where an individual will act differently in a group compared to the way they would act on their own. Mobs bring out the worst element...it brings out a "pack" mentality, and if you are not an the alpha dog...look out if you challenge the alpha dog. We have seen a company of soldiers do terrible things collectively that they would not do alone. Group dynamics are much different for a group than what an individual does on their own. This has been proved time and time again. Lone dissent within a group, when there is risk of punishment by the group is a major factor in why groups run unchecked even with silent dissenters within the group. (Remember the movie Platoon?) I sincerely doubt that any one of the so called high minded klannish would stand up to the ridicule and fear of being ostracized from their group (or worse punishment) for not going with the group and "do the right thing" especially if they thought they would get away with doing the wrong thing.
Oh please... which words didn't you understand? Have someone with a brain explain what he wrote and what it means to you.
