K.I.S.S. - Start with simple stuff in a spreadsheet and go from there. Do you have access to historical data? Do you have the ability to backtest? Most people try to engineer some fantastic trade that is either very profitable but almost never trades or that trades often for so little or the R/R is skewed against and ends up costing more than it makes. Anyone with a working system will not give up their edge just like once you find an edge you won't be posting it here.
