  1. the quote on the currency is HOW OLD?????? what are you going to do re-call every penny, quater and nickel?????

The reason nobody screamed when it was put on the money is becuase they WANTED it on the money..
I think the Atheist movement has become a cult like religious group..you scream to NOT BELEIVE and LAUGH at all the beleivers...yet your so threatened by " under God".....maybe your not that strong in your beliefs and are afraid of being converted???:D

  2. Your logic could not be any more more flawed.

You are basically saying that anything is OK as long as its old.

Why dont we go back to slavery??? That lasted a long time :D

    BZzzzzzzzzzzzttttttt....

"I think the Atheist movement has become a cult like religious group..you scream to NOT BELEIVE and LAUGH at all the beleivers...yet your so threatened by " under God".....maybe your not that strong in your beliefs and are afraid of being converted???"

    Pile of empty assertions here.
Atheists want it removed because it violates their constitutional
rights. It has nothing to do with fear, being threatened, or strength of belief. Get real.

Stop being so hypocritical. You would be screaming bloody
murder if our money said "Under NO god we Trust",
    or "Under SATAN we trust".

wouldn't ya? Don't dodge this question, because I will continue
asking it until it is OBVIOUS you dodging it.

  3. I would agree with you except it should be the lower courts who keep their noses out of this type of crank dispute.

No kid is being forced to acknowledge any religion or deny his own religion. The Pledge merely acknowledges the traditional view of the Founders.

The real problem is that the Supreme Court has made an absolute mess of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment for about 40 years. I would hope the Court will use this case to announce a return to the traditional view of the Establishment Clause, ie that it bars only a state-mandated religion. The kind of respectful observance at issue in this case or the Ten Commandments case was clearly viewed as appropriate by the Founders and was allowed for most of this country's history.

If anti-religious zealots want to bar any mention of God in schools, something they have been pretty successful at by the way, they need only get the local school board to go along with them. What is so wrong about allowing elected officials to decide local issues?

Part of living in a pluralistic society is having to hear, see or deal with things you find distasteful. If people want to start a graduation assembly off with a prayer, how exactly has a nonbeliever been injured? And isn't it ironic that the same people who lecture us endlessly about the virtues of diversity are the first ones to clamp a muzzle on any expression they find distasteful?

  4. More hypocrisy.

AAA, would you keep your mouth shut if our pledge
and money said "Under Satan we trust" ??

I could care less what it said.... as long as it pays me bills thats all that matters....peace....

besides in a couple of years it will all be done electronically so why fret over the lil things in life.....lets all ban together and solve the bigger issues...like OVERCONSUMPTION and our enviroment...

p.s. it seems that the only ones who get insulted by people who want to believe are You , Gordon Geeko and Stuart little.

  6. are you referring to the Clinton years?

Please though tell me...you keep calling me a hypocrite and putting words into my mouth that i never said....You asked why nobody complained when they put it on...i said because they wanted it on ....then you assume that I agreed with anything that is old????? you seem to be putting a lot of words in people's mouth lately.....But i want you to answer this one question: What constitutional Right or privilege are you being DENIED by having ' in god we trust' on your penny?...and if you can explain how it is directly effecting you one way or another i'd be grateful.

  8. Thats officially dodge #1 of the question TM. As expected.

"You asked why nobody complained when they put it on...i said because they wanted it on ....then you assume that I agreed with anything that is old????? you seem to be putting a lot of words in people's mouth lately..."

I did not put any words in your mouth.
I did not claim that you said we should have kept slavery.
I simply showed that your logic would allow for this.

Let me write it formally for you. Your logic is.

Things which are old shouldn't be changed
"In god we trust" is old
    ---------------------------------
Therefore, "In god we trust shouldn't be removed from our money"

Using the same logic, during the slavery years, we could say:

Things which are old shouldn't be changed
    Slavery is old
    ---------------------------------
    Therefore: Slavery shouldn't be abolished

This is NOT putting words in your mouth, this is showing
the flaw in your logic. There is a big difference.
    Your claim is baseless.

Now answer the question or score dodge #2.
