Ron, dude, buddy, pal, listen to me please. Please. OK? I am not saying that somebody at that particular debate didn't make a racist comment. I'm not saying that. What I am saying is how can you gleam from "one" comment made that the "entire" base of the GOP is racist? If Sean Penn made a comment that Chavez is a great leader and America should elect someone like him, I'm not going to make a comment that this proves the base of the democratic party is socialist. Why are you painting with such a broad brush? You keep trying to duck the issue by focusing on me. It's not about me. You made the comment, I didn't. I am simply asking you to defend it. Your only response is personal attacks on me and saying immature things like you will claim victory. What does that even mean? What is victory?

He is wrong but he is too invested to climb down. To him it is simpler to throw you over the side than to admit to any error.

I'm seeing this trait repeatedly on the left.

“A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them.”

    John C. Maxwell

“No persons are more frequently wrong, than those who will not admit they are wrong.”

    François de la Rochefoucauld

“It is the highest form of self-respect to admit our errors and mistakes and make amends for them. To make a mistake is only an error in judgment, but to adhere to it when it is discovered shows infirmity of character.”

    Dale E. Turner

"A man should never be ashamed to own that he is wrong, which is but saying in other words that he is wiser today than he was yesterday."

    Alexander Pope
