Needajob, To get a job in finance, especially in this job environment, you must be aggressive. Call up a bank you know and ask to speak to a managing director. Go in person to the banks and try to schedule an appointment to meet with someone. You'll fail 9 out of 10 times, but maybe that 10th time you might get something. If this doesn't sound like something you want to do, then most likely a job in finance is not for you. People at investment banks respect initiative. No one is going to give you a free lift.
Good call, HardRock !! I think he IS all those individuals mentioned, and frankly is quite annoying (you should check out his Vault comments - all VERY similar - even got bashed over there as well!) Funny, how you'll see the same folks on Vault, post here. Yet this board is (i think) a lot more constructive, and the posts more knowledgeable than the immature "wanna-job" high school/college grads over there.
