I am wide tailz, how did you figure that out so quickly. I knew it was inevitable....but man you are sharper than an eskimo's piss icicle. What's the combine.. is it a family farming thing you invnted? . I think I missed that.
You have offended the keepers of the gate to the Right Side of The Market. You are not worthy of seeing the mystic sign; the Church of Price Action hereby excommunicates you. The Holy Fractal of Granularity is far, far beyond the scope of your cynical mind.
Day 5 Experiment I am ready to quit trading.. I just can't handle my emotions.. I again took a mediocre setup and once again it failed.. but instead of being patient, I got extremely upset cause I'm so frustrated with my lack of discipline so I kept revenge trading and losing boat loads of money.. I spotted a great setup but even this stock only went up 30 cents before reversing.. I'm gonna give it one more week and if I don't improve, it will have to give it up.. I can't keep losing thousands of dollars cause of my stupid emotions..
There is no real answer except to change from trading to casino gaming! I am serious! If you are addicted and not seeing steady, consistent increases in equity please get help at gamblers anonymous etc. Again I am serious. {unless you can beat computer systems and HFT and hedge funds' seemingly random actions. All edges are almost gone} you WILL lose ALL your money. Again I am serious.
The time to trade is when we have a raging bull market and you don't need to mistake brains for a bull market. A rising tide raises all ships. This market is hard enough for the hedge funds, big traders and the like. Look at all the hedge funds taking big hits. I have a lot of experience and know a lot of the tricks. But still get blindsided by the aimless, seemingly random moves and HFT trading whereby you believe a ST tend is in place and 2 hours later it reverses without warning. Every time you begin to "get it" "they" change the price levels and the computers get re-programmed !! Think I am kidding?
Sorry to hear, I hate to see anyone lose their own money. The market holds the most attraction for those least suited for it. This is how it feeds itself ....it also attracts charlatans, self deluded and others who want to "help", when they can't even help themselves--- altruism in the. Jungle is deadly. Be cautious!!! Your solution is automation, if you can really define set ups as you claim. For some reason you ignore this--- then I suggest you simply paper trade untill you get it together or find another hobby. Tough love brother. Surf Ps-- iceman is correct---he understands what is really happening, unlike the price cation technical chart readers with baseless claims.
LOL! I was once a Gann Master --- I was once a chart reader--- I saw the real light of the market. I shall consult the dark lord and ask for absolution.
Jack, you should prove your mettle in the combine. I'll pay your way $160.00 if you can't afford it, as long as you allow your results to be posted here on elite daily. http://www.topsteptrader.com/Combine All the other TA crew ran away wimpering when challnged. It's on your shoulders now jack. surf
Surf, I ignore it cause I'm not familiar with automation.. Even if I am, I don't think its gonna work with my strategy.. Yes, it will eliminate the emotions but a robot has no discretion so I doubt it will work as well.. After next week and no improvement then time for me to give it all up..
Ok, better to find out now before you go broke--- her's something I wrote back in 2009 Quote from marketsurfer: Interesting. I hear this all the time from traders. My contention is even though good money management isnt an edge, it will keep you in the game long enough to take advantage of LUCK. Those huge winning days that are guaranteed to happen if you are in the game long enough. it isnt edge, but LUCK will arrive if you can stay in the game via money management. just a thought, surf
