  4. Day 4 Experiment

I guess you can call me a rule based trader because that's what this experiment is all about.. If I can stick to my rules and not get emotional..

I took one trade today and again took a mediocre setup.. guess what happened? I lost in the trade..

I do think I'm making progress because I usually trade 10 times a day so it definitely made me more patient.. We'll see what tomorrow brings..

  5. Mr Nate, was the setup mediocre in hindsight or prior to taking the trade? In other words, would have the set up looked great had it worked out profitably?

An honest answer can only help your evolution as a trader

  6. Surf,

The setup was mediocre prior to taking the trade.. it would've been a lucky trade if it had worked..

If I spot a really great setup, it rarely fails on me.. Unfortunately, I don't see it that often..

  8. Your skeptical mind has now jumped the shark. If I blow up my account selling naked puts, am I Victor Neiderhoffer?

Such irony....... the same negative that you continue to attempt to prove by accusing everyone on here of being fake gurus who can't trade.....

Incorrect. We do not owe you anything. We have heard your opinion on the matter (hundreds of times). It is beginning to waft thru the forum like a foul odor

  9. This is weak. You have no evidence so you resort to the above. Otherwise you would simply ignore me or produce evidence. The freak out is the same spiel as all those with no support of their claims.

Negative? I am far from negative regarding trading-- I make my living finding edge so obviously I don't care where it is or how it's done. But my experience so far has not been positive with TA intuitive or otherwise chart watchers.

Heck, your crew wouldn't even do the combine publically--

    Show me otherwise.

This is such a common problem among traders and I think it is important to examine it.
The impatient and lack of discipline most of the time are symptoms of something else. You need to examine your emotions in relationship to what you want to get attain emotionally when you trade.
Are you possibly trying to get some type of approval from the mkt?
Are you trying to fulfill a personal void that you have failed to recognize?
I think trading brings out the worst and the best in most of us, so reflection about all these feelings is a must.
Only you know what deep down you feel like when you lose or when you make money.
