Hello all, I trade exclusively forex, but i want to switch to currencies futures. Please please tell me some brokers And i want to ask you something ; is it possible to trade the gbpjpy in futures, because i feared on futures of gbpjpy the low liquidities and volatilities Please tell me, thanks
Not to my knowledge, everything is based against USD. JPY/USD, etc. Velocity Futures and Pro Active Futures are both pretty darn good. Also V Cap futures and Mirus Futures too.
The ONLY liquid futures pairs are: EURUSD GBPUSD USDJPY USDCHF USDCAD AUDUSD There are a few others with anemic volume on Globex! You could create a few synthetic pairs if you had to. lefty
Yes. They trade on FINEX where the symbol is SY ("Sterling over Yen" = SY). See http://www.nybot.com/marketInfo/contractSpecs/showCurrencySpecs.asp?productGroupID=19 Of course, your data vendor may use a different symbol than the exchange uses .... Most people enter and exit via "EFP" transactions. On Friday, 23-March-2007, 1669 contracts were traded. All but two of them were EFP's (see below). Is this sufficiently liquid for your needs? Only you can answer.
