playing the overnight gap

Actually, there's an increasing amount of trading between 8 pm and 4 am. For example, TSLA is up nearly 5% right now.

comon guys,,, knock it off.. the post was not about trading during the off hours.. it was to buy at close of market and hold till the open the next day.

 

I backtested this in 2019 and posted the results. It was profitable but probably wouldn't be good enough after trading costs. I've also tried to create rules via genetic programming to take advantage of this phenomenon but was unsuccessful.
