Plasma TVs on Ebay

I am considering buying a Plasma TV on Ebay. A friend of mine warned me that there are a lot of scams on Ebay involving Plasmas. Has anyone heard stories? Has anyone made such a large purchase on Ebay? Any insight would be appreciated.

Look at the Seller's Feedback. Look for a % of 97+ and at least a few hundred transactions. Also make sure he's sold high ticket items before. Many will scam on feedback by selling trinkets and then setting up the big "score".

Check out the shipping cost. It's going to be huge.

 

Yeah, most of the shipping costs are $195 and up.

Bought from them last year, very legit and good pricing on Panasonic. I believe they're on Ebay as well.

 

I have bought and sold high ticket items on ebay.

A legit seller should be happy to arrange for Escrow with escrow.com or to allow you to pay cash on delivery.

Do not pay for anything with western union, do not agree to pay half upon production of a UPS shipping receipt, and do not believe any price that sounds too good to be true.
