It really is fascinating. I've explored this area looking at presidential cycles in the market and its beyond me how the cicumstances, events, technologies etc all change and you really want to say this time its different yet nothing new under the sun.
If you have read about the 30's then its amazing how you the same arguments then about building a strong military or have more social spending. The way they ignored Hitler was the same way that Iraq and Iran were ignored in the 90's.
