When calculating pivot points I'm trying to figure out the best way to calculate weekly and monthly pivots. When creating weekly I am considering using a 5 day period and not starting over every monday, does anyone do this? If I start monday my weekly pivots are the same as my daily pivots and if the next day is an inside day then I have basically the same pivots again. For monthly should I use data for th past 20 trading days or should I just start with the beginning of the month? Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks.
