I always thought if a pit-bull attacked me I could poke its eyes out. But if a world champion of boxing can't do it then pit-bulls really are as dangerous as they're made out to be.
I don't care what people say about "its not the dog, its the owner" I sure as hell would never have a pit in my house. Pregnant Pacifica woman killed by family pit bull PACIFICA -- A pregnant Pacifica woman was mauled and killed by a family pit bull Thursday inside her home and discovered by her husband when he returned from work. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2011/08/12/MNK21KMFEB.DTL
http://www.philly.com/philly/news/20110901_Son_blames_PSPCA_for_death.html?cmpid=125219969 A NORTH PHILADELPHIA woman appears to have been killed by a pack of pit bulls Tuesday so is it still the owner and not the breed??? evidence not looking good for the bad owner crowd.
I see the opposite from that article. It appears that these dogs had already caused several complaints, so obviously the owner hadnt trained them properly. It is quite clear based on the article that these dogs were out of control, and the owner obviously didnt fix the problem. Its not as if a bunch of well trained dogs went out one day and snapped for no reason.
common sense tells you pit bulls repeatedly kill their owners and the other 7000 breeds do not. either bad owners only buy pit bulls, unlikely, OR pit bulls are killers, more likely.
Check... With all due respect and because you are a certified genius, like me;>), I know you have much good knowledge in many areas. However, in this area, you just obviously plain lack the experience to know what you are talking about. And, yes, lots of bad owners get pit bulls. It's not that bad owners only get pit bulls, but bad owners do get pit bulls. Good owners get pit bulls, also, by the way. Look at this...and it may sound funny at first, but consider: There's sometimes bad owners who get chihuahuas, but you don't hear about chihuahuas killing people. But, you would if the chihuahuas were a powerful breed, like the pit bull. I hope in your journey that you begin to take very acute notice of who is in command of these good dogs known as a pit bull. And watch the communication of these owners and their dog. As well, notice the body language of someone who has a pit bull with them. You'll soon notice some very revealing things. There's lots of people who don't deserve to have a dog; not just pit bull owners, yet they seem to constitute larger numbers than other owners. I'd hazard a guess that only about 30% of people in the USA who own a dog actually deserve to have one. Dogs rule!...But, you got to train them properly and treat them properly.
Thats the thing, there is to many gangbanger/thug owners who buy pitbulls, as a status thing, and put in no time training the dog, those are the assholes who give pitbulls a bad name. If a pitbull does bite its going to be lethal, or atleast cause alot of damage, so obviously you hear about all those attacks in the news. The fact is that pitbulls are actually notriously known by breeders, as one of the most affectionate/loving dog breeds. Going back to your example of Chiuaha's, the only dog that ever bit me and made me bleed was a chiuahua, but i sure as hell didnt call animal control because a little dog like that bit me. Yolu never hear about small dog attacks because no one bothers to report them, because they really cant do any damage. I would not trust a 1 year old kid in front of my buddies chiuahua, but i would trust a 1 year old kid infront of an entire pack of pitbulls, if they were trained by, Ceasar Milan (dogwhisperer) for example. I have a few friends who own pitbulls, and they are some of the nicest dogs i have ever met, but they also trained them properly.
