Ping times for Dialup/Broadband users

  1. I'd like to get an idea of the different ping times for dialup users out there (and broadband as well).

To keep things consistent, please do this:

Click 'Start' then 'run' and enter:

    ping www.yahoo.com

In the DOS window that comes up you'll get a line:

    Reply from 216.109.118.71: bytes=32 time=230ms TTL=50

This shows me that my ping time is 230 miliseconds, which I think is slow. Whoever reads this, if you wouldn't mind posting your ping time, and the type of internet connection you have, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks alot,

    kp

I pinged my internet providers' internet address. Got 24ms. I think it depends how far you are from a server.
