How often does everyone clean their office or dust all the monitors and keyboards...????? freaking takes me forever to clean everything in and on the desk....
Also do people shut their computers off or leave them on? I know that schools and business's usually will leave the computers on overnight.
My computer is on 24/7 unless I go on vacation. Also about the dust, I have a compressed air can *which I need to buy more of* that I spray around a lot. My computer just seems to be the ultimate dust magnet. One time I went without 4 months of dusting it, there was an insane amount of dust balls, clunked in the computer, literally making my fans go slower and all that, was amazing to be honest.
My study is a mess right now because I'm studying until June (I'll come up with some other excuse after that) but I can't complain about any lack of monitors .
That's no TV, It's a beached whale CRT! Just kiddin', but at that range a nice LCD, front and center would be a good idea. It'll save you some money at the optimologist if you switch fully to LCD. My eyes used to burn when I had a lot of CRTs runnin'....really had to turn down the AC as well, they really kick off some heat. That's a nice stand/mount for it though.
A computer guy told me you can seal your box and use water cooling (no fans, no dust, no noise!!!). I'm looking into that solution for my next box and with the way things are looking as to the competitive business between AMD and Intel it's gonna fly.....
If you are having problems with dust, then what ever room you have computers in, buy some type of air purifier. -Kastro
We actually had those stands that you have for your CRT back in highschool. Those things certainly did suck. They were new, and then 2 years later, almost all of them were destroyed in the classroom. One time the platform snapped and the monitor fell right onto the desk, right on top of my books. Lucky my hands weren't there. I could have sued the school then right? Oh the good..... but not so old yet days.
