Sure. Currently I run 3 Matrox G450s (dual output 1 ana, 1 digi), and an OCed (!) GeForce 6800. OCed by the manufacturer.
there is so little info on 2d acceleration these days... can u notice any difference in the analog and digital outputs? apparntly there is signal loss in the conversion and even in the dvi2vga adapter. what about in streaming video, any difference [analog/digital and bet. matrox/geforce] thnx
bigsid, can i ask you, are you running all 4 widescreens from one pc? if so, are there anything as a quad card, or are you using 2 dual heads? and what about your resoultion? nice setup.
The only difference I can see is on my lower left hand monitor. It's anal, but it's also on an extra cable cuz it's too far for a normal one. But it is more fuzzy, FWIW. And it has a gender-bender for the cable-to-cable connection. So ti's going thru four connections. Streaming seems fine on all mons.
My old system ran one dvi and one vga and I could tell a difference in the white levels that started to be annoying.
I enjoyed and learned from everyone's pics so far, and all the ideas. Here is my system, I just finished yesterday: and my back-board for it, about $90 of material from a hardware store, and about $150 for the VESA mounts: The monitors are tilted both vertically and horizontally, for a better viewing angle of all the screens. The 6 in the center are dell 1905's with the casing removed, which roughly halves the bezel width for each monitor. ..used for day-trading for paying bills and the rest of the $ is for helping to create a more free, peaceful, life-oriented existance for people and animals.
Very nice. I like your ingenuity, this is much cleaner than hooks and rods all over the place. Thanks for the ideas. Btw, what's the mirror on the left for?
