  2. I like this thread and it has been dead for over a month. I will throw up a picture of my home office to keep it alive.

    Good luck to all.

  5. Yeah, I have been sniffling now for a week. That's why I wasn't trading today when I posted the picture. Trying to kill the boredom and distract from my headache. The Kleenex is the Lilo & Stitch design with pictures of the cartoon characters on it. I fought my daughter for that box... I feel invincible (she is 2.5 yrs old). :D

  6. Equalizer... I like the setup... although you really could use a 24" LCD for that much PC horsepower.

FT71 -- Nice setup! How many times do you bang your knees on the cabinet under your desk? Ouch!

Are the earphones for talking to floor - or - don't tell me you listen to music while trading ?

  9. Hmmm... the cabinet is to my right. I face the 4 big LCD's, so I don't turn towards the cabinet. There is plenty of leg room. I don't use that space where the cabinet is. My research/reading is done on the extension to the left.

The headphones and mic connects me with the traders at my office in Chicago. The headphones are noise canceling, so I feel completely immersed when I have them on. I use Skype to connect on VoIP (it's free).

I scalp, so music or even CNBC is a distraction. If I was swing trading and hold positions for several hours, I would probably listen to some sort of music... but I don't.

  10. Yeah... it is a cheap DVD player. I use it to play back Camtasia recordings and to watch movies when doing corporate financial stuff, line outs, etc. It gets lonely in the trading dungeon. :)
